ARKADELPHIA, Ark.—Ouachita Baptist University’s Office of Admissions Counseling will welcome prospective students and their families to campus for Tiger Days on March 14 and 18.
These preview days are scheduled to coincide with Texas schools’ spring break and will provide “a great opportunity for students on Spring Break to come and visit campus without missing school,” said Lori Motl, Ouachita’s director of admissions counseling. “It is usually a busy week for us with campus tours, so these Tigers Days will help us give every student the best experience we can.”
Both Tiger Days will begin in Hickingbotham Hall with registration from 8:30-9 a.m. The opening session at 9 a.m., held in Young Auditorium, will give prospective students and their families the opportunity learn about the university and introduce specific admissions counselors. It is immediately followed by an opportunity for students and their families to meet with OBU’s academic deans and then take a campus tour.
At 10 and 11 a.m., students will have the opportunity to attend a class of their choosing or take a campus tour, and parents are invited to visit with administrators at 11 a.m. for a question and answer session in Berry Chapel. Guests are invited to eat lunch in the Alumni Room of the Ouachita Commons at noon, followed by a tour of Ouachita’s residence halls.
“These days are for anyone interested in coming to OBU, whether they have a mild interest or already have OBU stickers on their car,” said Motl. “Tiger Days are some of the best days to visit campus. Students and their families get to tour campus, meet with deans, attend class, hear from administration and have lunch on campus. It is a great snapshot of life on campus.”
