Ouachita Baptist University’s Pruet School of Christian Studies will host Seminary Day Friday, Nov. 1, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Evans Student Center. The event will give students the opportunity to meet and visit representatives from schools that offer seminary programs.
“We encourage all of our students who are called to ministry or missions to take a serious look at seminary or grad school,” said Dr. Danny Hays, dean of OBU’s Pruet School of Christian Studies.
“Selecting a seminary can be a daunting and challenging task,” Hays said. “We find it very helpful to put all of the seminary reps in one room at one time and let our students talk with several of them about what each seminary has to offer.”
Representatives from the following schools are scheduled to participate: B.H. Carroll Theological Institute in Arlington, Texas; Beeson Divinity School in Birmingham, Ala.; Criswell College in Dallas, Texas; Cross Church School of Ministry in northwest Arkansas; Dallas Theological Seminary in Dallas, Texas; Denver Seminary in Denver, Colo.; East Texas Baptist University in Marshall, Texas; Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary in Mill Valley, Calif.; Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary in Memphis, Tenn.; Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Kansas City, Mo.; New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in New Orleans; Palm Beach Atlantic in West Palm Beach, Fla.; Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, N.C.; Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Ky.; Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas; Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Deerfield, Ill.; Truett Theological Seminary in Waco, Texas; and Wheaton College in Wheaton, Ill.
