The men’s event being held on March 3rd, at 7 p.m. in Young Auditorium involving a panel of six OBU young women who will be talking about relationships. The event will be run by the university’s counselor, Mr. Daniel Jarboe.
“We are certain that part of any young man’s growth into manhood must involve some training in the area of how to appropriately relate to women,” said Jarboe. “And so, on this evening we will present to our OBU young men six of our ‘brightest and best’ OBU young women who are prepared to address and discuss what a guy needs to understand today about how to properly treat a young woman (highlighting a few key ‘Dos and Don’ts’ or ‘What we appreciate, and what we don’t’). They will speak candidly on everything from asking girls out and ending a relationship to those qualities women find most and least attractive in a young man. Their mission is to helpfully communicate to each young man attending how he can best secure the trust, respect, and admiration of the women in his life.”
Below are the profiles of the featured women on the panel, including Jessica Winston, Kristen Glover, Karis Ann Crosby, Natalie Polston, Kristen James and Rachel Willhoite.

Why did you accept your spot on the panel? I did the panel because it seemed like a really good opportunity for both the guys who attend and the girls on the panel. Natalie Polston
Major/Minor: Christian Studies and Psychology
Why did you accept your spot on the panel? We were asked by Dan Jarboe to be a part of this panel because we were recommended by Res Life staff to be a women on Ouachita’s campus of good reputation and wisdom, as well as having the confidence to speek candidly and honestly from a woman’s perspective with a group of men. I was very interested in the panel when Mr. Jarboe approached me with the idea. We want to be pursuing the character of Christ in every aspect of our lives, and I fully
believe we need the help of others to pursue that goal. This panel is unique, because it brings in a perspective that is a little unconventional, as opposed to typical “one-on-one man time” or all-male conferences,” yet very beneficial. I think men will really enjoy and be surprised by the things we have to say. Hopefully they will be encouraged to pursue Godly-man hood in their relationships with women because of it.
