How long have you been playing sports: “I’ve been playing football since 3rd grade. I actually didn’t play quarterback until 6th grade. Until then I played defensive end. I played little league baseball and basketball, too.”
Golden moment: “My best moment so far in my football career happened in junior high. Because our school’s population was growing, our junior highs were split into two teams, an East and a West. Both teams played the whole year separated and then at the end of the year we had to play each other for the conference championship. We won, and it felt like we had won the Super Bowl. I know this sounds crazy, but it was because we knew every person on the other team, and when you are that age there is nothing bigger in life than football.”
Who has influenced you the most: “My father and mother, because of countless times spent throwing footballs into a net, pitching baseballs, shooting freethrows and being my number one fans.”
If you could have any superhero power, what would it be? “Mind Bullets. It’s telekinesis, Kyle.”
What Crayola color would you want to be? “Midnight Meat Train.” n
