ARKADELPHIA, Ark.—Ouachita Baptist University will welcome prospective students and their families to campus for Tiger Friday Sept. 10. To register, visit www.obu.edu/tigerfridays.
“We are excited about starting off a new year with the Tiger Friday this week,” said Lori Motl, OBU director of admissions counseling. “It is a great opportunity to get a snapshot of OBU.”
Tiger Fridays offer prospective students and their parents an opportunity to experience Ouachita through campus tours, visiting a class, panel discussions and a meal in the Ouachita Commons. Visitors will also enjoy personal interaction with OBU’s admissions staff, faculty and administration.
“We have a great group already registered for the event,” Motl added. “We look forward to having these students on campus.”
The day begins with an opening program in Young Auditorium at 9 a.m., followed by an opportunity at 9:30 a.m. for students and parents to learn more about Ouachita’s academic programs in a meeting with an admissions counselor and the dean of the school that they are interested in entering. Students and their families will then join an admissions counselor for a tour of Ouachita’s campus.
At 10 and 11 a.m., students have the opportunity to attend a class of their choice. While students are in class at 11 a.m., parents are invited to visit with administrators for a question-and-answer panel in Berry Chapel.
At 12 noon, guests are invited to eat in the Alumni Room of the Ouachita Commons, where they can visit with other parents, students and members of the Ouachita community.
