ARKADELPHIA, Ark.—Ouachita Baptist University’s Division of Music will present Jessica Hardy in her senior voice recital at 11 a.m. April 15 in Mabee Fine Arts Center’s McBeth Recital Hall. The recital is in partial fulfillment of the requirements for Hardy’s bachelor of music education degree.
A native of Ozark, Ark., Hardy will open her recital with Charles Gounod’s “Faites-lui mes aveux” from Foust, followed by Ernest Chausson’s “Hébé” and Richard Strauss’ “Heimkehr.” She will continue with Claudio Monteverdi’s “A dio, Roma” from L’incoronazione di Poppea and Leonard Bernstein’s “Rabbit at Top Speed” from Four Recipes. Hardy will conclude her recital with Zina Goldrich’s “The Alto’s Lament” and Mark Hayes’ arrangement of “The Gospel of Grace.” Hardy will be accompanied by Mary Worthen.
