ARKADELPHIA – The Ouachita Baptist University softball team scraped together a run in the fifth, but it wasn’t enough to overcome No. 4 Southeastern Oklahoma State as the Lady Tigers lost, 3-1, Friday afternoon in Sully Anderson Field.

Crystal Robinson (1-3) pitched a complete game, surrendering three runs (two earned) on seven hits with a pair of strikeouts.

Amanda Turner worked 2 1/3 innings and Jami McAdoo pitched two innings, but the difference on the mound for the Savage Storm (31-4) was Marjorie Johnson (13-0), who pitched 2 2/3 innings with a walk and eight strikeouts.

Ouachita (13-16) trailed 2-0 heading into the bottom of the fifth.

With one out, Korrine Cook walked and advanced to second on a base hit to center by Monica Davis. Cook scored on a double to right-center by Randi Wilson.

However, the Savage Storm scored a run in the top of the seventh to grab a 3-1 advantage.

The Lady Tigers remain home with a 1:00 p.m., Gulf South Conference West Division doubleheader Saturday, March 21 against Delta State.
