The Ouachita Baptist men’s golf team placed 15th Tuesday after the completion of the second and final round of the 10th Annual Northeastern Oklahoma State Golf Classic at Emerald Falls Golf Club.
The Tigers, who had 87 pars and 16 birdies, shot a two-day total of 646. Central Oklahoma won the event, edging Washburn with a 594. Arkansas Tech was the first Gulf South Conference school to place, shooting a 596, just two back of the champions. Texas A&M Commerece (597) and Abilene Christian (597) finished tied for fourth.
Northeastern Oklahoma State (600) was sixth, followed by Missouri Southern State (603), Central Missouri (608), Southeastern Oklahoma State (609), St. Mary’s (612), West Texas A&M (621), East Central (630), Henderson State (642) and Harding (645).
Rob Greer and Klayton Seyler, who both shot 78s during the opening round, fired 83s to finish tied for 58th with a 161. Blake Sisson (162) had an 82 in the final round to place tied for 62nd. Cole Fisher recovered from an opening-day 88 with a 74 to shoot 162 and also finish in a tie for 62nd. Bobby Allen rounded the group with an 83, placing tied for 79th with a two-day total of 172.
Central Oklahoma’s Colby Shrum was the overall winner, firing 71 on the first day and 71 in the final round for a 142.
