“So one summer, my friend and I decided to go on a road trip to DC because it’s a cool city. We got in my car and drove to DC through the night. Once we hit Virginia we got really tired because it was the morning time so we called our friend who we knew lived in Virginia and asked if we could crash at his house. He and his family ended up not being there but he said we could stay there anyway. Turns out he lives in a mansion so we had this entire mansion to ourselves. We slept for a couple of hours and then got back on the road. We adventured around in DC and spent way too much money. On the drive home we decided we didn’t want it to be over so we were like, ‘Let’s just stop in TN and hang out in the Smoky Mountains.’ But at that point we had spent all this money on food and doing fun things and gas, so we didn’t really have a lot of money left to spend on a hotel. We stopped at Waffle House for dinner and charged our phones. Then we drove to this safe looking hotel down in Gatlinburg and just stretched out my seats and slept in my car for a couple of nights.”
