Humans of OBU: Gingers

April 13, 2016

“It was sophomore year, before Emily and I were dating, and we were walking out of the caf. It was me, Michael Butler and Emily. We were playing ‘perfect in every way but…’ and Michael said something that was kind of risqué. Well, some people heard it and kind of looked up at us. I don’t do well in awkward moments, my automatic response is to leave and get out of there. So I’m like, ‘Oh my gosh.’ I attempt to walk out the back door of the caf but I automatically walk into the girl’s bathroom. Well Emily is in there, washing her hands. I walk in, see her and go, ‘Oh my gosh!’ And I turn back around and walk out. David is walking out of the men’s bathroom as Emily and I are walking out of the girl’s bathroom. It was just awkward on top of awkward on top of awkward.”
