College Students vs. High School Knowledge

February 27, 2016

In the thirteen years that we all went to grade school, we sure did learn a lot.  But how much of that information did we actually retain?  To find that out, I decided to go around the student center and ask students questions that they probably would have learned in high school or middle school.  I also asked them questions about politics, pop culture, and some simple bible trivia.

I am not without fault here however.  For my last question, I asked what book comes after Zephaniah, which is Haggai.  One person guessed Hosea.  I told him that Hosea is not a book.  For some reason, I was convinced that Hosea was not a book, even though it is.  I apologize to the person I told that to.  I also apologize to Hosea himself.  You wrote a good book.

Now I’m not the first person to do this sort of thing.  You’ve probably seen this type of video on Kimmel.  People have been asking other people simple questions on the streets since the early days of Letterman.  What I wanted to focus on is how much people actually remembered what they learned during high school.  If you want to see how they did, watch the video above.
