CAB set to host Coffeehouse Christmas Party Dec. 4

November 30, 2013

On Wed. Dec. 4, Ouachita Baptist University’s Campus Activities Board (CAB) will host a Coffeehouse Christmas Party. The event will be free and held at Dr. Jack’s Coffeehouse in Evans Student Center at 8 p.m. All OBU students are invited to attend.

“CAB would love to see everyone attend the party,” said CAB Co-Chair Shelby Davis, a junior biology major from White Oak, Texas. “Since many of us are at home for Christmas, the Christmas party is a great opportunity to come out and fellowship with our Ouachita family before the break.”

“Students can expect a great time to be with friends during this joyful season,” said Davis. “Not only that, but they can make crafts and get pictures to capture the memory.”

“We will have most of the men’s and women’s social clubs provide the music and entertainment,” said Brandon Sanders, a senior psychology and sociology major from Franklin, Texas, and CAB’s other co-chair.

There will be a prize awarded to the two participants with the ugliest and prettiest Christmas sweater. “Who doesn’t want an excuse to wear a Christmas sweater?” Davis noted.

In addition to music, contests and fellowship, the party will feature “a Christmas craft station, cookie decorating and a place to take pictures with Santa and his elves,” Davis added.

In addition to Davis and Sanders, the CAB Leadership Team includes: Movie Chair Kate Collins, a senior biology major from Texarkana, Ark.; Secretary Hayley Dahl, a junior biology major from Red Oak, Texas; Special Events Chair Wesley Henson, a sophomore sociology major from Little Rock, Ark.; and Coffeehouse Chair Dustin Walter, a junior biology and chemistry major from Marion, Ark.
