Last Tuesday, August 25, hundreds of Ouachita students and staff flooded campus to find out what Arkadelphia has to offer in the annual Spotlight on Arkadelphia. Every fall to kick off the school year, dozens of Arkadelphia businesses and churches set up tables on campus for Ouachita’s Spotlight event. At their tables, owners give away free information about their store or church as well as product give-aways, coupons and promotional items. Many tables also have drawings students can enter to win gift cards or store products as incentive for students to get more information and pay these churches and businesses a visit.
