Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night has come to Ouachita! It is a brilliant tale of humor and romance, and is definitely a must see for every OBU student. Why miss out when you get one free ticket with your student i.d.? Come to Verser Theatre to support our very talented Tigers as they take you back to the Persian world of princesses, lord’s and the not-so-foolish fool. The performance will no doubt leave you laughing with memories of yellow tights and a duo resembling that of Jack Sparrow and Will Turner of the Caribbean. The actors each play their part splendidly, but make sure to pay attention to the background and facial expressions to fully experience the hilarity.
Twelfth Night was directed by Daniel Inouye who invites you to “sit back, relax and enjoy Ouachita Baptist university’s production of Twelfth Night; a show with a madcap plot that mixes the sweetness and silliness of love triangles, cross-dressing, pompous servants, separated fraternal twins, mistaken identities, romance, and of course one pair of yellow stockings…welcome to Orsino’s court and the zany world of Twelfth Night.”
The production highlights the captivating voice of Feste as well as the theatrical artistry of the cast and will be performed through Sunday, Feb. 20th. Don’t miss out on this wonderful production. Check out the slideshow below for a sneek peek:
